Bamford, Klich and others react as Leeds announce Bielsa departure
Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling and Mateusz Klich were amongst the players to take to Instagram to pay tribute to Marcelo Bielsa after Leeds United on Sunday.
Bielsa’s exit has looked set to be on the cards for a little while. The writing, unfortunately, appeared to be on the wall following their 4-0 loss to Tottenham on Saturday.

Reports claimed that Leeds were set to make a change and were in talks with Jesse Marsch. Nevertheless, the announcement that the Whites have indeed parted company with Bielsa has left the large majority of the fanbase feeling devastated.
Unsurprisingly, many of the players were quick to take to Instagram following the news. Pascal Struijk, Adam Forshaw and Robin Koch were amongst those who also paid touching tributes to the Argentinian on social media.

Here is what they all posted…
End of an era for Leeds United as Marcelo Bielsa leaves Elland Road
Of course, it was hard to argue with the Leeds fans who felt that Bielsa’s tenure had run its course. But even the large majority of those had nothing but gratitude for what he had done.
Certainly, the announcement feels like the acknowledgement of an end of an era. From the moment Klich put Leeds in front against Stoke, it has been an incredible ride for the Whites.
Bielsa did not win the top-flight title with Leeds. But there is a reason why the Elland Road faithful speak about him alongside the likes of Don Revie and Howard Wilkinson.
Appointing Marsch sees Leeds potentially turn to a manager who uses a style with plenty of similarities. But there is absolutely no doubt that the change will be seismic.
Leeds fans have not seen anyone like Bielsa before. There is a reason why the fans still sang for him and his team when they had just conceded their 20th goal in five games on Saturday.
And how Marsch handles the next few weeks could have major implications for how he gets on with what looks to be an impossible task: succeeding Bielsa.
