‘Baller’… Destiny Udogie and Emerson Royal left amazed by £45m Tottenham player vs Aston Villa
Destiny Udogie and Emerson Royal have both praised Brennan Johnson after his latest display for Tottenham Hotspur.
Brennan Johnson has received his fair share of criticism since joining Tottenham from Nottingham Forest for a fee worth last summer.
The 22-year-old has struggled to find consistency in his debut campaign at Spurs and before yesterday’s trip to Aston Villa, he hadn’t started in the league since early February.

But such has been the Welshman’s impact from the bench in recent weeks, he replaced Timo Werner in the Tottenham XI on Sunday.
It’s fair to say that Johnson seized the opportunity as he netted Spurs’ second goal of the game en route to a 4-0 win.
Udogie and Royal amazed by Johnson’s latest Tottenham display
Johnson took to after netting a well-taken goal in yesterday’s win over top-four rivals Villa.
The forward wrote: “Happy Mother’s Day.”
His post led to praise from teammates Emerson Royal and Destiny Udogie, with the latter labelling Johnson a ‘baller’.

Much of the frustration from Tottenham fans when it comes to Johnson has been down to his willingness to beat his man. But we certainly saw glimpses of his ability to do just that on Sunday as he often beat Matty Cash down the left-hand side.
The winger showed the right intent yesterday and looked more comfortable while linking up with Destiny Udogie.

Johnson has now taken his tally of goal contributions into double figures this season. The winger has netted four goals and provided six assists in 24 league appearances.
While Spurs fans will hope the best is yet to come from the former Forest man, he’s already making an undeniable impact in the final third under Postecoglou.
He also leads the way when it comes to offensive duels won by wingers in the Premier League this season.
