‘Baffling’, ‘Good call’: West Ham fans react as Felipe Anderson signs for FC Porto
West Ham fans have been responding on Twitter after the Hammers allowed Felipe Anderson to leave the club, with the midfielder joining FC Porto on loan.
The club the move last night and it sees Anderson – who £41m – move away from east London to try his hand in Portugal for the rest of the campaign.

The Brazilian’s time with the Hammers has been an inconsistent one to say the least. Sporadic moments of brilliance have often been followed with runs of inconsistency.
However, some Hammers were less than impressed to see him go, while some think the move is right for the club, given he has dropped down the pecking order under David Moyes.
With that, here’s a look at how some West Ham fans reacted to Felipe Anderson signing for Porto.
Not unhappy in the sense that he wasn’t good enough to make our first XI anymore. But surely without signing anyone he is good squad depth? If we get two injuries we are in trouble, why give that pressure. Baffling decision making from the top 🤡

This is insane. If you couldn’t get a fee for him, why further weaken a squad that is one injury away from a crisis.

What happened to him. The first 6months in the league he was outstanding then just seemed to do nothing

Thank you Felipe, top class in that first season, such a shame it’s never worked out since. Good luck with the move

He will fly at Porto. Poor decision this.

I think another good call. He has been well below par for over a year and needs a fresh start. Who knows, may find some form and come back next season firing again.
Let’s hope the hungry EFL signings we (hopefully) make prove this to be a good window.

We’ll miss him a lot this season.
