Bacary Sagna posts jokey Tweet as Arsenal suffer heavy defeat to Manchester City
Bacary Sagna has posted a jokey Tweet following Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City after the Gunners made a number of mistakes in defence – with David Luiz at fault for two goals, and was shown a red card.
Sagna, who played for both Arsenal and Manchester City throughout his career, watched on as Granit Xhaka and Pablo Mari both suffered injuries in the first half. The latter was replaced by Luiz.
Luiz, 33, was at fault for City’s opener as he failed to control an underhit cross – allowing Raheem Sterling to score. He then gave away a penalty and was sent off for a foul on Riyad Mahrez, which saw Kevin De Bruyne score.
Pep Guardiola’s side were comfortable from that point in. Sub Phil Foden netted late on after Sergio Aguero had hit the post, and Sagna has joked that he is available to play – given Luiz’s poor display.
Well… i believe i can still play humm 🤣🤣🤦🏿

Sagna, now 37 years of age, retired in 2019 after a short stint with MLS side Montreal Impact – who are now managed by Gunners legend Thierry Henry. He played 284 times for Arsenal during a seven-year spell.
The Frenchman prompted plenty of reaction from Gunners supporters who responded to Sagna’s Tweet, with many returning the joke by urging him to return to the Emirates – six years after he left.
