According to a recent report, Aston Villa are prepared to offer £25m for a highly-rated midfielder on the continent.
Aston Villa have made a lightning start to the summer transfer window having already added Ian Maatsen, Samuel Iling-Junior, Enzo Barrenechea, Samuel Iling-Junior, Lewis Dobbin and Ross Barkley to their ranks.
Jaden Philogene and Amadou Onana are set to follow them through the door and now they have identified another potential arrival who plays his football in Serie A.

According to , Aston Villa have asked Napoli if they’d sanction the sale of Jesper Lindstrom for a fee worth £25m.
The Serie A outfit are carefully considering the request but at this stage, Lindstrom is still awaiting approval from Antonio Conte before making a decision on his future.
The Denmark midfielder made just two league starts last term but under new management, he may be given more playing time.
Napoli need to raise funds for new additions, so Lindstrom may be forced out the door, anyhow.

Lindstrom, who can operate as an attacking midfielder and off both flanks, netted nine times whilst laying on four assists for Eintracht Frankfurt during the 2022/23 season prior to his move to Napoli last summer.
