Aston Villa signing Domagoj Vida would be kick in the teeth for Kortney Hause
Aston Villa are being linked with a move for the Croatia centre-back Domagoj Vida.
, the Premier League outfit are ready to fight Watford for the Besiktas player, who starred at the 2018 World Cup final for his country.

Vida, 30, has been in good form for the Super Lig side, and the club could cash in next month due to some financial problems.
Vida supposedly brings home around £56,000-a-week at Vodafone Park, and getting him off the wage bill could be a means of easing the pressure on the club.
Villa have been struggling slightly defensively in their first season back in the Premier League.

Manager Dean Smith has used Tyrone Mings almost every game, and has recently started calling on Ezri Konsa ahead of Bjorn Engels.
One man who is yet to make a Premier League appearance is Kortney Hause, whose playing opportunities would diminish further following any deal for Vida.
TBR’s view The last thing Hause needs
The speculation may not amount to anything but, theoretically, this would be a real kick in the teeth for Hause, who signed for the club permanently for £3 million in the summer () after a successful loan spell from Wolves.

With Mings having picked up an injury against Leicester City, there could be a chance for him to show Smith he doesn’t need to dip into the transfer market.
So far though, he’s been firmly behind Mings, Konsa and Engels in the pecking order and may be powerless to change the manager’s mind.
