Aston Villa should act fast and swoop for Andre Schurrle

According to Russian outlet , Andre Schurrle is set to join Spartak Moscow on loan. However, until that switch is officially announced, there may still be time for other interested clubs to hijack the deal for the Borussia Dortmund outcast.

Schurrle is clearly available on the loan market, which should entice Aston Villa into considering a swoop for his services. However, they will have to act fact to beat Spartak Moscow to getting a deal over the line.

If there is time for Dean Smith to get a deal done, then the 28-year-old attacker would be a fine addition at Villa Park. The 57-cap Germany international has proven himself at the top level. He would arrive with plenty of Premier League experience, having previously won the title in a spell with Chelsea, and most recently represented Fulham in the 2018/19 campaign.

The World Cup winner’s versatility would make him an asset to Smith’s squad. Schurrle has also shown that he is not averse to joining a newly-promoted side. He did exactly that last summer when he arrived at Craven Cottage.

All in all, the Villans would be making a real statement of intent with the capture of Schurrle. Time is certainly of the essence if they’re to make a deal happen though.
