Aston Villa round-up: Rashica talks revived; Smith hints players will leave
Milot Rashica back in Villa talks
that Aston Villa are back in talks to sign Werder Bremen’s Milot Rashica as the transfer deadline looms.
Rashica has been linked with the Villans for some time in this window. that discussions over an £18 million move were in a very early stage.
But perhaps Dean Smith’s men could now be working to get a deal across the line.

But Smith says otherwise…
It must be noted that Smith himself has downplayed the likelihood of any players arriving on deadline day.
The Villa boss was asked whether Jota’s departure last week could leave the path clear for Rashica to arrive. And his response certainly makes it difficult to see a deal being agreed.
“No, not really. Jota was a player I’ve worked with before and I couldn’t give him minutes here with the quality we’ve got at the club at the moment,” he said, .
“I’ve got Bert Traore who came on and Anwar El Ghazi who’s on the bench as well. I’m not sure there will be any more coming in before the window closes.”
Exit door set for busy day
Smith may have attempted to quash speculation linking Rashica with a move to the club, but he did suggest – – that it could still be a busy day at Villa Park. However, the news is likely to predominantly centre around players finding new teams.
“Yep, pretty much. I’ve said before we can’t stockpile players,” he said, when asked whether deadline day would be about players moving on.

Jota finds new club
As previously noted, one player who has already left the Villans is Jota. last week that the attacking midfielder’s contract had been terminated.
And the Spaniard that he has joined Alaves.
