Aston Villa preparing bid for £25m playmaker who’s one of his country’s biggest talents

According to a recent report, Aston Villa are now lining up a bid for a £25m-rated midfielder on the continent.

The Villans have made a blistering start to the summer transfer window having already signed Ross Barkley, Ian Maatsen, Lewis Dobbin, Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior.

Jaden Philogene is also set to sign from Hull City on a permanent deal having only left the club less than a year ago.

Now, attention has turned to an attacking midfielder.

According to La , Aston Villa are preparing to launch a bid for Napoli attacking midfielder Jesper Lindstrom.

The 24-year-old struggled for game time last season, making just two league starts following his switch from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.

Despite failing to register a goal or an assist, Villa have added him to their list of targets and could formalise their interest with an offer in the coming days.

Napoli are believed to be demanding £25m to sanction his sale this summer but even if such an offer arrives, it’ll be down to Lindstrom’s decision.

The Denmark international, who is one of his country’s biggest talents per , will wait until he’s trained under the newly-appointed boss Antonio Conte before making a decision on his future.
