Aston Villa or West Ham would have to pay £50m for ‘really exciting’ striker

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa and David Moyes’s West Ham United are interested in signing Armando Broja from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.

That is according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who has reported how much transfer fee Chelsea are looking for Broja.

So, what has been reported about Aston Villa, West Ham United and Armando Broja? Let’s take a look.

Chelsea want £50m for Aston Villa and West Ham United target Armando Broja

Well, according to journalist Ben Jacobs in GiveMeSport, Aston Villa and West Ham United are interested in signing Armando Broja from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The reporter has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham are also keen on securing the services of Broja this month.

Former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea want £50 million for the 22-year-old Albania international striker, who is very fast.

Jacobs told : “Aston Villa are another new club that I can mention that should be considered in this conversation. Wolves, Fulham and West Ham are also among the suitors, but there is a big difference between the suitors’ valuation and what they think is possible from any informal enquiries versus the number that Chelsea are putting out there through sources.

“The Chelsea number may be £50million, with the Rasmus Hojlund transfer used as a yardstick, but everyone accepts that the Hojlund fee had a Manchester United tax on it.

”That was much higher than Manchester United wanted to pay. Hojlund was seen as a €60million or €70million player, but the final fee was much closer to €90million.”

My View: Aston Villa and West Ham United should not pay £50m for Armando Broja

In my opinion, neither Aston Villa nor West Ham United should pay £50 million for Chelsea and Albania international striker Armando Broja.

Yes, I understand that Broja is a very talented and promising young striker. He is 22 now and had a good loan spell at Southampton in 2021-22.

Former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville described Broja as on in February 2022.

But, Broja has not done enough to merit a price-tag of £50 million. The Albanian striker has scored just eight goals in 58 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
