Aston Villa have just had bid rejected for £25m player who Tottenham want to sign

Aston Villa have just seen a bid knocked back for a reported Tottenham Hotspur target.

The Villans have been one of the most active teams in the transfer window having already made seven additions, with perhaps Amadou Onana from Everton the pick of the bunch.

Unai Emery is still eager to add further reinforcements to his squad with Champions League football on the horizon and with that said, the West Midlanders have just had a bid rejected for a defender.

Aston Villa have bid rejected for Michael Kayode

According to , Aston Villa have seen a bid rejected by Fiorentina for right-back Michael Kayode.

The offer has not been revealed but it’s thought the Serie A side are looking for a fee in the region of £25m.

Tottenham are also named in the report as they’ve made an enquiry about Kayode, who is an Italy youth international.

Bournemouth and Newcastle United are also thought to be keen on landing his signature.

It remains to be seen if Villa return to the table with a second offer.

Aston Villa may need Jhon Duran sale first

Aston Villa may need to sell Jhon Duran first before they can submit a second bid for Kayode.

Duran is being mooted with a move to West Ham United but at this stage, that deal looks unlikely due to Villa’s £40m asking price.

The Hammers are now locked in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a move for Niclas Fullkrug, so the Columbia international is set to stay put for now, potentially preventing a move for Kayode.
