Aston Villa get glimpse of the future as Jake Doyle-Hayes and Callum O’Hare wow on loan
Aston Villa loanees Callum O’Hare and Jake Doyle-Hayes continued to impress at their respective clubs. On Tuesday night, O’Hare and Doyle-Hayes both produced awe-inspiring performances.
O’Hare is on loan at Coventry City and he earned his first league start of the season. The 21-year-old is a talented midfield playmaker and Coventry fans have been wowed by his performances from the bench.

The England U20 starlet has already notched two late goals for the Sky Blues this season. And while he did not score against AFC Wimbledon, he helped the League One side battle until the end in a 2-1 win.
O’Hare was arguably the man of the match for Coventry and his performance boosted their promotion hopes. Mark Robins’ men sit top of the league ahead of a weekend off (Coventry should have played Bury).
Meanwhile, Doyle-Hayes scored his first goal in senior football to aid Cheltenham’s promotion bid. The 20-year-old cushioned a volley into the net to put Cheltenham 2-1 up on their way to a 3-2 win over Bradford City.

This result lifted Cheltenham up to third in the league table. The Robins are in the automatic promotion zone and Doyle-Hayes is playing a key part in their promotion push.
Both Doyle-Hayes and O’Hare are giving Aston Villa a glimpse of the future. Although the jump from League One and League Two to the Premier League is sizeable, they are showing that they can compete in senior football and excel. These two could be paired in a future Aston Villa midfield.
