Aston Villa fans react to report that John Terry turned West Brom down this summer
Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry attracted the attention of West Brom before they appointed Slaven Bilic,
They that the Baggies had their eye on the former Chelsea icon to become their new boss this summer, but Terry rejected the opportunity to speak to them about a crack at the hotseat.
Terry will be in Premier League dugouts up and down the country this season, while WBA will take a second swipe at getting out of the Championship.
That said, the prospect of being a top man may have appealed to Terry, but he looks happy to remain patient and carry on working alongside Dean Smith.

Given the rivalry between Villa and West Brom, it would have been a controversial switch for Terry to make – and many Villans fans took to Twitter to toast the report.
They were keen to laugh at West Brom for trying and failing to lure Terry away; once again having the last laugh after knocking WBA out of the Championship play-offs at the semi-final stage…
