Aston Villa fans react to performance of Matty Cash during latest win

Aston Villa secured another vital three points in the Premier League thanks to a resounding 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

A brace from Anwar El Ghazi and a strike from Bertrand Traore ensured a comfortable night for Dean Smith’s men.

It was another man who drew praise from the club’s supporters on Twitter, however, with Matty Cash once again in fine form.

The 23-year-old has proved a really astute signing for the West Midlands-based outfit since his £16 million arrival from Nottingham Forest.

Cash has been a standout performer in the Villa team and his presence at right-back has made Smith’s team really solid.

Villa are ninth in the Premier League and are enjoying a far better campaign than last season.

Smith oversaw survival in the final day of the 2019/20 campaign but there are no signs of a struggle this time around.

Cash has been a decent acquisition for Villa who set about changing their transfer strategy in the summer.

Last night he never game the Baggies a moments peace with his constant desire to get forward.

His energy levels have delighted the club’s supporters since he arrived and it was the same last night.
