Aston Villa fans react to Cameron Archer display at Barrow
A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Cameron Archer after the striker started their Carabao Cup tie with Barrow on Tuesday.
Dean Smith’s men are into the third round of the competition after a dominant win against the League Two side.
The Villans won 6-0. Frederic Guilbert was on the scoresheet with the fifth goal, while Anwar El Ghazi bagged a brace.
But the Dutchman was not the only player to score multiple goals. Archer managed to notch a stunning hat-trick to send his side through.
The 19-year-old was making his senior debut for Villa in the tie. And he certainly made the most of the opportunity.
He broke the deadlock after 10 minutes. And he went on to score Villa’s fourth around the hour mark. The treble was complete with two minutes of normal time remaining.
It was a superb performance from the teenager. In fact, he only had five shots on goal during the entire game ().
Of course, Archer faces a tough task trying to force his way into the first-team fold. Villa boast two outstanding strikers in Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings.

Meanwhile, they also have Wesley and Keinan Davis on the books. So Archer needs to make the most of what opportunities come his way.
The good news is he most definitely did catch the fans’ eye against Barrow. And many are excited about what the future holds for the starlet.
