‘I can’t wait’: Some Aston Villa fans react to ‘amazing’ Wednesday excitement
Aston Villa saw their fixtures released for the 2021/22 Premier League season yesterday and fans have been offering their thoughts.
The Villans start things up with a trip to newly-promoted Watford, with that fixture scheduled for August 14th.
The first Villa Park contest sees former boss Steve Bruce bring his Newcastle team to the West Midlands a week later.
Dean Smith’s team finish the month with a visit from his former club Brentford.

September and October are extremely tricky months.
Villa face Chelsea away, Everton at home and Manchester United at Old Trafford during the second month of the season.
Tottenham away, Wolves at home, Arsenal away and West Ham at home are on the agenda for October.
The festive fixtures will hope to provide Villa with some Christmas cheer – although their fixtures are tough.
The return game with Chelsea is scheduled for Boxing Day, with a trip to Leeds United on the cards two days later.
New Year’s Day sees Villa face Brentford at their new stadium.
Villa face a daunting trip to Manchester City on the final day of the season, scheduled for May 22nd.

Smith oversaw a revival at Villa Park last season.
After avoiding relegation on the final day of the 2019/20 campaign, the club finished 11th in the Premier League last term.
Next season they’ll look to kick on once again and are already signing players.
