Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to reported interest in Kieran Trippier
Aston Villa are looking towards the ambitious signing of Atletico Madrid full-back Kieran Trippier, – and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.
Dean Smith’s team conceded 67 goals in the Premier League last season and defenders look to be a priority this summer.
Trippier signed for Atletico last summer, signing for £20 million from Tottenham He helped Los Rojiblancos to a third-place La Liga finish and the last eight of the Champions League.

The right-back made 33 appearances in Diego Simeone’s team last season, proving a solid addition for Atletico.
Villa ensured survival on the final day of last season and Smith will be keen to ensure a more comfortable campaign during 2020/21.
The 29-year-old is a man who knows all about the Premier League having spent time with both Burnley and Tottenham during his career.
He has 107 Premier League appearances to his name in the top-flight and Trippier has also played 19 times for the England national team.
The 2018 World Cup proved a good one for Trippier. He scored a free-kick in the semi-final against Croatia and was also ranked as the most creative player in the tournament – registering 24 attacking opportunities .

Probably just paper talk but imo Trippier would be a class singing. He's by not perfect but a big upgrade on what we have, bags of big match experience, and a set piece threat to boot. Only worry would be wages.
