Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to Paulo Fonseca reports
A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Paulo Fonseca amid that the Villans have made informal contact with the Portuguese.
Dean Smith is coming in for a lot of criticism this season. Villa now find themselves just three points above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

They have now lost their last four, conceding 12 times in those fixtures. And they could go into the international break inside the relegation zone should they lose against Southampton on Friday and results go against them over the weekend.
that Smith continues to have the public support of the decision-makers at Villa Park. However, it appears that they are also keeping their options open.

And with that, it is claimed that initial contact has been made with Fonseca. The 48-year-old is currently out of work after leaving Roma earlier this year.
Fonseca has been linked with a Premier League move for sometime. As noted by the Mail, both Tottenham and Newcastle have spoken with him about their posts in the last few months.
Interestingly, the reports have divided some of the Villa fans on social media. The majority appear to believe that he would be a brilliant choice.
‘Make it happen’: Aston Villa fans react to Paulo Fonseca links
In fact, one fan has even suggested that they would not mind a defeat on Friday if it leads to Smith going.
Others are not as convinced. Fonseca has not had too much experience in one of Europe’s top leagues. And there are some who have defended Smith given what he has done during his time in charge of the club.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Villa fans make of the links with Fonseca…
