Aston Villa fans react as Trezeguet impresses on debut
Aston Villa gave Tottenham Hotspur a good battle in their first game back in the Premier League. There were several players making their debuts for Aston Villa and that included Trezeguet.
The Villans snapped up Trezeguet from Turkish Super Lig side Kasimpasa this summer. And he has immediately jumped to the attention of the Aston Villa fans with an eye-catching performance.
Trezeguet was a lively outlet after starting on the right flank. He swapped with Anwar El Ghazi during the match to play on the left-hand side and was substituted in the second half. It was 1-0 when he went off and the game ended in a 3-1 defeat.
The Egypt international took two shots in the game, forcing a good save from Hugo Lloris with one of them. He also completed nine passes (including one key pass) at an impressive pass success rate of nearly 80 per cent, one dribble and was fouled twice. His defensive numbers were impressive too with three tackles, two clearances and two aerial duels won to limit Tottenham’s attacking threat ().

for me trezeguet showed his class today, I can’t help but think he was worlds above Jota... though that being said, I do think he makes a very strong sub. but after today’s performance trezeguet gets the start, no question. ??
