Aston Villa fans react as reported target Sander Berge’s release clause is revealed
Aston Villa supporters are not too convinced that Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge would be a good signing in the summer transfer window following recent updates surrounding the Norwegian midfielder.
that the 23-year-old midfielder, who is also on the radar for both Arsenal and Everton alongside Villa, has a relegation release clause of £35m heading into the summer market, with Sheffield United confirming their drop into the Championship some weeks ago following a disastrous season.

Berge has been rumoured with a move to Villa for some time, with Dean Smith likely to be granted the freedom to spend big again this summer following two successive years of going big in the transfer market, yet for some supporters on social media, Berge would be a poor season based on his price tag as well as his general form for the Blades this season.
Here’s what some Villa fans had to say about the update to Berge’s transfer situation on Twitter…
For 35m…? Not a chance

Don't see what others see in him, definitely wouldn't spend £35m. Better spent elsewhere, we have good youth to compete with Luiz and Sanson.

I don’t see him being a good fit. Poor injury record and have never really seen him perform to make me go WOW we need him. Too high a price and we have enough cover

Did you watch him today ???? Not worth over 10 million

As per the Yorkshire Live report, Berge is yet to speak up on a move away from Bramall Lane this summer, and that there is a chance the defensive unit could remain with the club next season in the Championship.
