Aston Villa fans react as Dean Smith’s press conference is interrupted by players singing about Axel Tuanzebe
Aston Villa showed their character last night as they came from behind with ten men to clinch an important victory in the Championship.
After Tammy Abraham missed an early penalty, Aston Villa fell behind to Rotherham United as Will Vaulks scored his penalty.
It was part of a double blow the Villans as Tyrone Mings was shown a second yellow card for a handball in the box.
But Aston Villa hit back with two second-half goals. Jonathan Kodjia equalised from the spot before Jack Grealish finished off a fine move to give Aston Villa the win.
It was the seventh consecutive victory for Dean Smith’s men, who moved back up to fifth in the table and gave themselves a five-point cushion in the play-off zone.
After the game, Aston Villa players were evidently buoyed by achieving yet another massive win.
And this was clear by their antics while Smith tried to conduct his post-match press conference. , Aston Villa players “drowned out” Smith with their singing.
