Aston Villa fans react as club reportedly enquire over £17.5m rock

Aston Villa have reportedly made an enquiry to sign Huddersfield Town defender Terence Kongolo this summer – and Villa fans have reacted on Twitter by urging their club to land the centre-back.

the Midlands clubs are looking to land the 25-year-old Huddersfield star before the start of next season, as Dean Smith looks to solve the problem area that currently resides within his squad.

Indeed, Villa have lost Axel Tuanzebe, Tyrone Mings and Tommy Elphick. Mings and Tuanzebe have returned to their parent clubs Bournemouth and Manchester United, while Elphick has joined Huddersfield on a free transfer.

It leaves Villa with just James Chester and Kortney Hause, the latter joining the club on a permanent basis from Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this week. Now, Kongolo has been targeted to solve that issue.

Kongolo has impressed at Huddersfield during the past 18 months, initially joining the club on loan before completing a permanent £17.5million move last summer. He has since clocked up 49 appearances for Huddersfield.

Aston Villa fans have reacted to the reported news that their club have made an enquiry to land the four-time Netherlands international this summer, and many are keen to see Kongolo lured to Villa Park for 2019-20.
