Aston Villa fans react to Kortney Hause’s performance in Burnley draw
Aston Villa’s wastefulness against Burnley cost them the chance to go eighth in the Premier League table.
Dean Smith’s side were held 0-0 at home by the Clarets, who will be delighted with a point, with Villa having a remarkable 27 attempts in the game.

The hosts simply couldn’t score at Villa Park, with Anwar El Ghazi particularly guilty of some poor finishing.
Bertrand Traore and Ollie Watkins also had good chances to score, and it’d be unsurprising if Smith set up some extra finishing practice in the next training session.
Jack Grealish was the creative spark for Villa as he so often is.
The 25-year-old drove at the Burnley defence as often as he could, and might well have had two or three assists to his name had his teammates been more clinical.

Another player who put in a pretty good performance was Kortney Hause.
The 25-year-old was in for his first Premier League appearances of the season, with Ezri Konsa missing out through illness.
There was no sign of rust, and the £3 million star () was solid alongside Tyrone Mings, and Burnley never truly threatened in the game thanks to his dominance.
On social media, some Villa fans – frustrated with the team’s lack of cutting edge – made sure to praise the defender:
Hause solid tonight 💪🏻

Cant deny it, Hause played well.

That was so frustrating. 30 attempts on goal. Loads of positives apart from the finishing. Jack exceptional and Kortney Hause did really well.

Not good enough at all in the final third, doesn’t matter how many wayward shots we have to pad out the stats, our lack of clinical finishing has already cost us a lot this season, needs sorting, Hause was brilliant tonight
