Aston Villa fans rave about performance of Matty Cash during Leicester win
Aston Villa kept up their perfect start to the 2020/21 campaign with a fourth win in succession against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium – with Matty Cash the name on everyone’s lips at the end.
On-loan Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley gave Villa a 1-0 victory with a last-gasp strike but it was another summer signing who earnt rave reviews from the club’s supporters.
Cash checked in at Villa Park from Nottingham Forest during the summer, starting every Premier League game for his new employers since his arrival.
The 23-year-old cost Villa £16 million and that already looks like money well spent, with Cash once again impressive at right-back against Leicester.

Villa boss Dean Smith changed tact in the transfer market this summer, targeting young, talented performers, rather than scouring Europe as they did last season.
It’s a case of so far, so good for the Villans who have reaped the rewards, with Cash, Barkley and Ollie Watkins all performing well so far during the current campaign.
The performance of Cash was particularly impressive and plenty of fans on Twitter can’t believe their luck that they’ve managed to get Cash for such a reasonable price.
Here is a selection of Tweets from Villa supporters on the latest performance by Matty Cash.

How good has our defence been, Matty Cash phenomenal, Emi in goal has been a breathe of fresh air so much more confidence in us. And as for the attack we look a real threat on the break and we are pressing better. We matched Leif yesterday and ran the game for large parts
