Axel Tuanzebe is reportedly set to sign a new contract with his club Manchester United – and some Aston Villa fans on Twitter are gutted about the speculation.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with Villa in the Championship and played a key role in helping them achieve promotion via the play-offs.
, manager Dean Smith wants to bring the centre-back back to the Midlands for another spell.
The report details that he is expected to pen a new deal at Old Trafford and Manchester United want to give him a chance with them next season, with him set to be involved in a pre-season tour.
Tuanzebe played 35 games across all competitions last season and struck up a fierce combination at the back with Tyrone Wings.
He’s a highly-rated talent to come out of the academy at Manchester United and is now set for a senior opportunity.
The ball-playing centre-back has tremendous pace and athleticism, while he’s composed in possession too and looks ready for the top-flight.
Villa are starting their preparations for life back in the Premier League and look short at centre-back right now.

A selection of Villa fans feel that there chances of landing Tuanzebe are over and would have loved to see him return.
Here are some Villa fans commenting on the Tuanzebe reports:
Let’s be honest. He’s raw talent, they’d be mad not to. Shame because I’d love him back here.

Been an incredible servant to the club this season gone, can’t fault him for wanting to break into his home team. I’ve no doubt he’ll show us the utmost respect and we’ll show it right back. Will miss the chant a hell of a lot too though ?

They did the same with Johnstone last season. It’s a business, rather than playing, decision.

Fair play to him, deserves it and I can see him being a United legend in years to come ?
