Aston Villa fans destroy Kortney Hause for his performance against Bournemouth

Aston Villa were beaten 2-1 away to Bournemouth on Saturday in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter ripped defender Kortney Hause to shreds for his performance in the game.

Dean Smith’s side booked their spot in the Carabao Cup final in midweek by beating Leicester City over two legs, but came straight back down to earth with their league defeat.

The Midlands giants are just a place and point above the drop zone in the league table, with a real fight ahead to stay in the top-flight.

Phillip Billing and Nathan Ake scored first-half goals for 16th-placed Bournemouth, but the visitors were given an opening when Jefferson Lerma was sent off early in the second-half.

Villa got one back through January signing Mbwana Samatta, but ultimately they couldn’t find an equaliser against 10 men.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media were left angry with Hause for his individual contribution at the weekend.

The 24-year-old centre-back has been a regular in the starting XI during recent months and continued against Bournemouth.

But the defender was extremely sloppy on the ball at the back and looked a weakness for his side.
