Aston Villa fans deliver their verdict on Marcus Rashford’s first start for the club in draw with Liverpool
Aston Villa held Premier League leaders to a 2-2 draw in Wednesday’s league encounter at Villa Park.
Liverpool opened the scoring through Mohamed Salah’s 29th-minute effort, but Youri Tielemans levelled for Aston Villa just nine minutes later.
Ollie Watkins then put Villa ahead in first-half injury time when he headed home from Lucas Digne’s cross from the left.
However, Trent Alexander-Arnold equalised for Liverpool in the 61st minute, firing in from just inside the box after being set up by Salah.
All in all, Villa were solid on the night as they made it three games unbeaten in all competitions.
January loan signing Marcus Rashford was handed his first start for Villa by Unai Emery, and plenty of Villans fans commented on how he did.

Aston Villa fans pleased with Marcus Rashford display against Liverpool
Aston Villa fans were pleased with Rashford’s first start as a whole, acknowledging he needs to build up his match fitness and backing him to improve.
“Think Rashford was really good today,” one fan wrote.
“Obviously he isn’t 100% sharp which was shown with some of his end product. Give him time and he will deliver.”
Another said: “In a few more games Asensio and Rashford will be unplayable. But not today.”
The positive comments kept coming, with one supporter stressing that Rashford is “still finding match sharpness and fitness.
“He wasn’t poor… Some good link-ups and interchanges, movement good and 2-3 Liverpool players drawn to him every time he got the ball. He’s getting there.”
Another said: “A positive line up from the off certainly paid dividends.
“Rashford & Asensio giving us so much pace and threat up top, Watkins back on form.
“Even Malen looked dangerous coming off the bench. Let’s hope we carry that onto Saturday.”
