Aston Villa fans delighted with reported Michy Batshuayi interest
Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are delighted with the speculation.
reports that Dean Smith’s side want to try sign the Belgium international on loan in the January transfer window and want to include a purchase option too if they can.
The report explains that it’s unclear on if Chelsea would be willing to allow the 26-year-old’s exit midway through the season.
Villa have lost Brazilian forward Wesley Moraes to injury for the rest of the season and surely manager Smith needs to bring in a fresh face during January.
Batshuayi has been restricted to 18 appearances this campaign across all competitions this season, scoring in five of them.
He’s not started in a single league fixture due to Tammy Abraham’s success at Chelsea and is having to be patient for his chances.
Batshuayi has shown in the past he can make quick impacts out on loan at clubs, something he has done at Borussia Dortmund and Crystal Palace in recent years.

A selection of Villa supporters on social media are excited about speculation linking them with the Chelsea centre-forward and would like to see a deal take place this month.
They benefited from having Abraham on loan from Chelsea last season in the Championship and this would be another great deal.
Here are some Villa fans on Batshuayi:
Get it done

No brainer. Get it done, get him in up and running. I’m excited if this happens.

Would be a great signing!

Quite a good idea. I know him especially from His time at Dortmund. They didn’t like him a lot there, cause he was ‘too physical’ ?

Unlikely but would be a superb signing imo. Looks like a player who will score goals given a proper run in the team

Perfect signing. Get it done.
