Aston Villa fans criticise Trezeguet following poor Norwich performance
Some Aston Villa supporters have expressed their frustrations over winger Trezeguet, after the Egyptian produced a poor performance on Boxing Day against Norwich City.
The Villans recorded a vital 1-0 win over the Premier League’s bottom side, but quite a few noted the £8.75 million summer signing () struggled to have a positive impact.
The 25-year-old started on the left against the Canaries having been named as a substitute for the last three league games, but had difficulty at Villa Park.
Arguably he did not justify his inclusion in the starting XI, but given Anwar El Ghazi also struggled, he may get another chance against Watford on Saturday.
With John McGinn injured, Jack Grealish is likely to play in midfield most of the time, so Trezeguet should have ample opportunity to nail down his place out wide.
He’ll struggle to do that though if he regurgitates another display like the one against Norwich.

This Trezeguet fella. Always wants more time. Touch of a sideboard. His brain doesn’t operate at the required frequency. When put together with AEG ?all Villa’s troubles are clear to see.

Don’t see anything in Trezeguet. No pace, no end product, can barely dribble without losing the ball. Hoping he’s just ‘settling in?but he’s shown very little this season for me

El Ghazi massively inconsistent and guilty of hoofing it yesterday without regard to anyone around him. Trezeguet dawdles in possession. This may be down to the pace of Prem and lack of starts? Any winger that we buy/loan will be first on the team sheet imo.
