Aston Villa fans are dreaming of big signings ahead of the summer after Dean Smith revealed that supporters should get excited about what the club have planned for the transfer window.

ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash against Everton, the Villa manager hyped up the club’s plans for the upcoming summer transfer window, which is likely to see the Villains spend big once again on new recruitments following on from the past two years of heavy spending.

Villa have spent well over £200m in the past two summer transfer windows since their promotion to the Premier League, with the Midlands club this year building on from their 17th place finish in the English top-flight to comfortably claiming a midtable spot with four games left to play.

Smith’s comments excited plenty of Villa fans on social media, with lots of suggestions of wild transfers the club could make from Kylian Mbappe to Allan Saint-Maximin. Here’s what some supporters had to say on Twitter…

Villa will be hoping for a summer where they can not only recruit new players but also retain current stars in the squad, such as club captain Jack Grealish and centre-back Ezri Konsa.
