Aston Villa could replace Moussa Diaby with Brazilian ‘magician’ from Champions League club
Aston Villa’s summer transfer window has gotten off to an electric start with players both arriving and departing.
Unai Emeryꦉ went into the summer knowing he needed to bolster his squad for the upcoming campaign after securing Champions League qualification.
The extra games at a higher level than Villa experienced last season in the Europa Conference League will mean Villa need a much stronger squad.
🍌Rotation is going to be crucial if Villa are to compete on all fronts this season and it seems they have been keen to address that already this summer.
However, there could be one major exit set to leave Villa Park over the coming weeks with Moussa Diaby receiving interest from Saudi Arabia.
👍But there is one player who Emery is believed to be eyeing as his potential successor.

Unai Emery eyeing Brazilian winger as Moussa Diaby replacement
🐎It is looking increasingly likely that Diaby will be on his way in the coming weeks with talks ongoing over a proposed move to Al-Ittihad.
The ꦑSaudi club are said to be growing in confidence over landing an agreement with Villa for Diaby.
🌄Having balanced their books against PSR at the end of last month, this could provide Villa with some serious money to play with this summer.
🧸And it appears as if Emery is ready to go bid with a statement signing from another Champions League club.
According to Spanish outlet , Villa could now launch a move for Barcelona’s Raphinha if they are to sell Diaby.
𒐪It is claimed Barca are ready to sanction a big exit this summer and would struggle to say no if a club were to offer decent money for the Brazilian winger.
🌃What Aston Villa are expected to get for Diaby (around £60m) is what Barcelona are said to be looking for when it comes to Raphinha.
ꦯHowever, there is one issue in that Raphinha is believed to only have plans of staying at Barcelona for the upcoming campaign.
Raphinha has positive experience from time in Premier League
💫Before making the move to the Spanish giants, Raphinha found himself playing in Yorkshire with Leeds United.
🍬It was a spell in his career which really put him on the map with a return of 17 goals and 12 assists for the Whites.
꧙During his time at Elland Road, his teammate Daniel James waxed lyrical about the Brazilian having labelled him magic.
“He’s a magician,” he told back in 2021.
♔“He’s always been a great player – I played against him at Manchester United and he was always great – but he’s improved so much.”
𝓀Raphinha has returned 45 goal contributions for Barcelona since sealing the move but has three years remaining on his current deal.
