Aston Villa could now hijack deal to sign player with 121 Premier League goals as interest intensifies

Aston Villa could now bring a member of the Premier League’s 100 club to the Midlands – ahead of an Italian giant.

✅Nobody can accuse Unai Emery and Monchi – Director of Football at Villa Park – of showing a lack of ambition this summer, as huge fees have already been spent to sign Amadou Onana and Ian Maatsen ahead of a UEFA Champions League campaign next season, among other top talents.

Aston Villa pushing to sign Romelu Lukaku

🉐As that situation drags on, Aston Villa are pushing to sign Lukaku ahead of Napoli behind the scenes.

൲The Italian news outlet believe Conte has asked for the £98m Belgian – who has 121 Premier League goals to his name – to be signed in time for the start of the 2024/25 Serie A campaign, which falls on Sunday 18th August, with the Italian wary of Aston Villa’s interest.

Unai Emery has a backup option

𓆉If Aston Villa are unsuccessful in their pursuit of Lukaku, Emery could turn to another striker associated with Chelsea instead.
