Aston Villa have been big spenders within the Premier League this summer, and their activity may not be finished yet.
Indeed, Aston Villa have failed in their pursuit of Joao Felix, but they still need attacking additions.
Interestingly, Felix’s new club, Chelsea, could provide Villa with the answer to their problems.
According to Ben Jacobs, speaking on the London is Blue Podcast, Aston Villa could be lining up a late surprise move for Raheem Sterling.
Sterling made headlines over the weekend with his statement when he was left out of the Chelsea squad, and now, he could be on the move to Villa.
Raheem Sterling an option for Aston Villa
Jacobs shared what he knows about the man and Aston Villa.
“The last thing, interestingly that I’ve heard, which surprised me is that Aston Villa are monitoring the situation as well. Villa have lost Diaby and they wanted Joao Felix,” Jacobs said.
“I’m not sure it will gather legs at this point, it is very formative, but keep Villa in the back of your mind. They will be very busy in the final days of the window.
“Villa and Sterling, it is whispers at the moment, I don’t want to get Villa or Chelsea fans overly excited at this stage, but that’s another name alongside Juventus to throw into the mix.”

Aston Villa move could be perfect for Sterling
This could be just the move Sterling needs to revitalise his career.
Sterling has been out of form for way too long now, but under the guidance of a manager like Unai Emery, he may be able to hit the heights he once hit at Manchester City.
Sterling, at his best, is one of the Premier League’s top attackers, but given how unstable things have been at Chelsea, he’s not been able to flourish as of late.
Sterling might be able to rediscover his top form if he joins Villa to play under Emery.
