Aston Villa dealt transfer blow as Manchester United confirm plans for youngster
Aston Villa have been dealt a blow ahead of their summer transfer activity, with Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed Axel Tuanzebe as part of his pre-season plans.
following a 2-0 defeat to Cardiff for the Red Devils.
Tuanzebe has been a revelation for Villa this season, helping Dean Smith’s men into the Championship play-offs. The central defender has played 25 times; spending some time out with injury.

Solskjaer has now seemingly confirmed that Tuanzebe’s future could lie at Old Trafford next season.
“Hopefully Axel is going to get to the play-off final. He’s played well, had a couple of injuries, he’s a boy that I can’t wait to see in pre-season for us next season.”
TBR Verdict
The 21-year-old looks set for a bright future in the game if his Villa performances are anything to go by.
Tuanzebe will be buzzing to get an opportunity with United and he will look to grasp his opportunity with both hands.

The no-nonsense defender will be hopeful of earning a place in Solskjaer’s new look defence. At times this season United have looked hapless at the back and Tuanzebe will back himself to improve that.
It remains to be seen what changes if any, the boss makes to his back four. Solskjaer has already proved that he is happy to play the youth if they are good enough and it is now up to the 21-year-old to prove himself.
