Aston Villa fans show gratitude to Anwar El Ghazi following club tweet
Aston Villa have thrown themselves firmly into contention for a top-six finish by winning five games on the spin.
The Championship outfit have come from nowhere in the race to secure a play-off place.
Dean Smith has welcomed the return of the influential Jack Grealish and his side are now in the mix.
The form of Grealish has obviously helped Villa’s rise up the league but Lille loanee Anwar El Ghazi’s form shouldn’t be overlooked.
A winger by trade the 23-year-old has been in stunning form of late, netting three goals and contributing five assists.
His performances from a left-wing berth have been solid and shouldn’t be underestimated.
El Ghazi is one of Smith’s most important players and he would surely love the chance to keep him beyond this season.
The Villans will probably need promotion to make that happen but for now, supporters will continue to enjoy his performances.
