Arthur Masuaku reacts after West Ham victory against Aston Villa

West Ham defender Arthur Masuaku has jokingly questioned whether he’d fit into the in-form West Ham side, who won away at Aston Villa on Wednesday night.

The Hammers recorded an impressive 3-1 away victory at Villa, which is a result that has lifted them up to fifth in the Premier League table.

David Moyes’ side have won five of their last six league fixture, with their only slip up at home to Liverpool.

West Ham are firmly in the race this season for the European positions and are on the outskirts of the Champions League spots.

Masuaku has jointly responded to a West Ham fan on by claiming the team look like Champions League winners right now.

The 27-year-old left-back is currently sidelined with a long-term knee injury and Moyes in January he’s still a few months away from returning.

TBR’s View:

Masuaku has joked that West Ham are future Champions League winners, but there is no reason why they can’t be dreaming of a top four finish in a season as unpredictable as the current one.

Moyes has built a Hammers XI that look like they can win in different ways and he’s done so by proving so many doubters wrong.

Masuaku was an ever-present in the West Ham team before his injury setback and thrives in a left wing-back position, but he would need to be patient when he does return to action.
