Arthur Masuaku posts hilarious Instagram comment on West Ham’s Jesse Lingard
Jesse Lingard impressed for West Ham United once again as he helped the Hammers beat Sheffield United 3-0 on Monday night at the London Stadium – and Arthur Masuaku has made a hilarious Lionel Messi comparison on Instagram.
Lingard, 28, scored a brace on his debut in a 3-1 win against Aston Villa and while he failed to help the Hammers beat an improving Fulham, he was crucial in his third appearances – resulting in a comfortable win over Chris Wilder’s Blades.
The England midfielder won the penalty in which Declan Rice converted, even though he wanted to take the spot kick himself. Issa Diop came into the side to replace Angelo Ogbonna and scored from a corner, while Ryan Fredericks netted late on.
It was another impressive display from Lingard, with Alan Shearer telling that he was the best player on the pitch. West Ham commented on his performance with a post on Instagram, posting a picture and simply stating “He’s class”.
West Ham climbed into the top four but only for a matter of hours, as Chelsea beat Newcastle to return to the Champions League places. They sit in fifth place, above Liverpool – proof that David Moyes is performing superbly as Hammers boss.
Indeed, his signings have hit thr ground running. Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal, Jarrod Bowen and now Lingard – and Masuaku responded to West Ham’s post with a hilarious three-word reply: “You misspelled Messi”.
