Arsene Wenger’s verdict on whether Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is ‘world class’

Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger has delivered his verdict on Bukayo Saka amid the current debate over whether he can be deemed ‘world-class’ or not.

𒐪And it’s exactly what everyone connected with the Gunners would want to hear. Wenger does indeed believe that Saka can already be considered world-class.

𝓀Rio Ferdinand caused a bit of a stir last week when he said Saka could not yet be described as world-class.

ꦍ“He hasn’t done it in the Champions League, has he? I’m talking in the nitty-gritty stages,” Ferdinand said on .

Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka is ‘top-level’

ꦫThis has even split the Arsenal camp (or more precisely, the club legends).

Martin Keown, for instance seemed to suggest that Ferdinand had a point, saying “it’s far too soon for that”. Meanwhile, Ian Wright was happy to call Saka world-class.

𝓰Now, Wenger – speaking on – has given his verdict on the 22-year-old Arsenal star boy.

💝“He’s top-level, because players at that age who make differences at that level of a game have a great future,” he said.

💝“He is a top person as well, humble, wants to learn wants to work. He’s certainly already one of the three best English players.”

ജWhen asked by Richard Keys whether he considered Saka world-class, Wenger replied affirmatively: “I would say he’s world-class.”

ꦏSaka is certainly an outstanding player. He has 211 Arsenal outings under his belt and one goal contribution every two games in red and white.

🤡Meanwhile, he has 32 caps, 11 goals and eight assists for England. If that’s not world class, then he’s certainly not far from it.
