Arsenal’s Champions League win could force Real Madrid into making one dramatic change

TBR Football understands that Real Madrid are preparing to part ways with Carlo Ancelotti, and that could be before the end of the season.

Meanwhile, as TBR Football exclusively revealed, former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is under consideration to take charge at Madrid.

Los Blancos bowed out of the Champions League to Arsenal and that has heaped the pressure on Ancelotti, who was already expected to leave this summer.

Now, with his team out of the European Cup and four points off Barcelona in La Liga, the chances have increased for the legendary coach to leave before the season draws to a close.

Where next for Carlo Ancelotti?

Carlo Ancelotti could be going to the 2026 World Cup with two national teams open to bringing him in before the tournament kicks off, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.

The Italian is looking at his options and Brazil, who are looking for a new head coach, have held talks about landing him.

TBR Football also understand there is interest from the United States, who could very well part company with Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine could then become a realistic candidate to return to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with Ange Postecoglou under pressure.

Who is in contention with Jurgen Klopp for the Real Madrid job?

TBR Football revealed last week that Klopp, current chief of Red Bull’s football operation, was becoming someone of interest to Real Madrid.

Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso is seen as the leading candidate at Madrid, but there are some sections within the corridors of power at the Santiago Bernabeu who think someone with more experience, like Klopp, could be the better option.

German sports giants Adidas would ‘love’ to see one of their ambassadors in Klopp take charge at Madrid, who are already one of their most lucrative contracts.

TBR Football sources have also learned that the European champions have been keeping tabs on the progress of Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola and they like what they have seen, but at this stage, he is not seen as a likely candidate.
