Arsenal would consider selling £30m Mikel Arteta signing if Riccardo Calafiori is signed

Arsenal’s summer transfer window could be set to take an interesting turn over the coming days after weeks without any action.

The Gunners are yet to see any players come through the doors at the Emirates but that could soon change with Riccardo Calafiori.

Mikel Arteta‘s side are believed to be 𓄧closing in on a deal for Calafiori who has agreed terms to a five=year deal with Arsenal.

ꩵHaving impressed massively during his Euro 2024 campaign with Italy, the Gunners have stolen a march on numerous clubs across Europe.

💎However, the potential signing of the 22-year-old could now end the spell of one player who Arteta signed back in 2022.

Arsenal could allow £30m Mikel Arteta signing leave this summer

🐎The proposed signing of Calafiori would certainly increase the options Arteta has available for the upcoming season.

ওAlthough Calafiori is a natural centre-back, he has shown he is capable of playing on the left-side of the defence.

It has already been claimed that if the 22-year-old is to sign it 🔯could mark the end of Jakub Kiwior in north London.

𝄹But it seems he is not the only Arsenal defender who could find himself at risk of being sold.

According to , Arsenal could also consider the sale of signing Oleksandr Zinchenko if they sign Calafiori.

ဣ“If Calafiori signs, one of them [Kiwior or Zinchenko] could leave, for sure. That is a concrete possibility,” Romano said.

Arsenal could cash in on experienced Oleksandr Zinchenko

🌊Out of the two options, many may expect Zinchenko to be the player who could potentially be sold more easily.

Zinchenko has considerable experience under his belt now at the age of 27 having played under Arteta and Pep Guardiola.

🅘During his time at Manchester City, Guardiola had some really positive words to say about the Ukraine international.

❀“Incredible is the only thing I can say,” he told the club .

✤Given Zinchenko only started 20 league games last season, he is a player who may not exactly be the biggest of misses if Arsenal are to offload him over the coming weeks.
