Arsenal want to sign teenager from Real Madrid who they think could be Martin Odegaard 2.0
Arsenal struck gold with the signing of Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid.
Back in August 2021, the Gunners managed to sign the Norway international for just £30m – having initially taken him on a loan deal in January 2021.
It has proven to be a wonderful bit of business from the north Londoners, with the Arsenal No.8 now valued at €150.6m (£125.5m) by the CIES Football Observatory and also captain under Mikel Arteta.
Now – even without Edu Gaspar at the Emirates Stadium as Director of Football – Arsenal are sensing an opportunity to sign another Martin Odegaard in Arda Guler.
Arsenal believe they can repeat Martin Odegaard deal with Arda Guler
A story from in Spain now states that Arsenal think they can take advantage of the Turkey international’s situation at Real Madrid.
The Spanish news outlet explain that Guler is growing unhappy at the Santiago Bernabeu under Carlo Ancelotti, where he has made just three starts in La Liga so far this season.
As a result, Arsenal believe they could lure the 19-year-old to north London on an initial loan deal, before striking a permanent move at the end of the season, similar to how Odegaard was brought to the Emirates Stadium.

SPORT do not share how Guler would feel about a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners certainly seem infatuated by the Turkish wonderkid, and believe he has the talent to follow in the Norwegian’s footsteps with regular playing time.
What has previously been said about Arsenal target Arda Guler
Those who watched Turkey reach the last eight of UEFA Euro 2024 will know all about the teenage talent.
However, for those who know little about the Real Madrid No.15 and his immense skills, a comparison made during that tournament may be of interest.
Boldly, Rio Ferdinand likened Guler to both Phil Foden and Luka Modric while the Real Madrid prodigy tore up UEFA Euro 2024 last summer, which speaks volumes given the vast quality of those two midfielders.
If Ancelotti fails to hand Guler more action between now and January, anything is possible in the winter transfer window.
