Arsenal transfer news: Fans react to fresh Tariq Lamptey links

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the that the Gunners are tracking yet another £50 million-rated Premier League star.

Of course, much of the talk last week centred on Arsenal’s pursuit of Ben White. The £50 million-rated Brighton star attracted a big-money bid from the Gunners.

And according to reports, a second bid for the 23-year-old is on its way.

But it appears that the two clubs may be set for similar talks on another player further down the line this summer.

That is because, , Arsenal are also want White’s teammate Tariq Lamptey.

Lamptey has been linked with the Gunners in the past. And it now appears that Mikel Arteta wants the 20-year-old amid doubts over Hector Bellerin’s future at the Emirates.

Recent reports suggested that Lamptey also boasts a £50 million asking price.

With that in mind, it is probably little surprise that the reports have divided a number of the fans on social media.

Lamptey looked an outstanding talent whenever he was on the field last season. However, he endured a tough time with injuries.

In fact, he actually only played 11 times for Graham Potter’s side in the top flight.

That is surely why plenty of Arsenal fans seem divided on the links. If his performances are a sign of what is to come, he could be an outstanding addition.

However, that asking price arguably makes such a move a massive gamble right now.
