Arsenal transfer: Mourinho reportedly prepares new bid for 98-cap star
Roma are preparing a new bid for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, . Jose Mourinho is desperate to add him to his ranks and the Gunners star wants to move.
Xhaka cost Arsenal £30 million in 2016. He has endured his fair share of ups and downs during his time at the club. Last season, however, he was in fine form for Mikel Arteta’s team.
In total, he has made 220 appearances, scoring 13 goals and registering 20 assists for the club. The Switzerland captain has also collected 98 caps for his country.

Arsenal are expected to stand firm over Xhaka. The North Londoners don’t want to sell him for anything less than the £17 million which they value him at.
Mourinho is undeterred in his efforts to snap up the maestro. Personal terms have been agreed with the player who earns at Arsenal.
Xhaka is keen to join Roma this summer and the 28-year-old has just two years to run on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Xhaka to Roma: Arsenal must let midfielder go
It’s admirable that Arteta is willing to let a lot of the old guard go and Xhaka can be included among that clutch of players.
Although he was decent last season for the Gunners, things need to evolve and the Gunners have to stop stockpiling mediocre players.
Xhaka does boast a lot of experience but if Arsenal can bank £17 million by selling him, it’s definitely something they should do.

The Swiss star seems keen to go and keeping an unhappy player against his wishes doesn’t seem like a wise thing to do.
Arsenal have been linked with several midfielders. They also have Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny who can play Xhaka’s role.
As a result, offloading him looks best for all parties and Arsenal must make it happen this summer.
