Arsenal transfer: Gunners reportedly make bid for Euro 2020 star
Arsenal have tabled an astonishing £34 million bid for Euro 2020 star Manuel Locatelli, according to the player’s agent,
Locatelli shone for the winners of this summer’s European Championships and the Sassuolo star is a wanted man.
The 23-year-old scored four goals and claimed three assists during 34 appearances for the Serie A outfit last season.

That form earned him a place in Roberto Mancini’s squad for Euro 2020 and he played a pretty important part in the success.
He scored twice during a 3-0 win over Switzerland but was used as a substitute during the semi-final and final victories.
Locatelli typically operates as a defensive midfielder and his recent form has seen his stock rise.
Juventus have also been linked with a move for the player and perhaps they are in the driving seat for his signature.
Locatelli earns just at his current club. As a result, he’d surely relish the chance to move to a bigger club in the near future.
The player’s agent, Andrea D’Amico told Sky Sports Italia, “Juventus would like to sign Locatelli and Arsenal have already offered £34 million.”
Future star: Locatelli could be a game-changing addition to Arsenal ranks
With Granit Xhaka set to head to Italy at some point during the transfer window, it’s perhaps no surprise that Arsenal are courting another midfielder.
Locatelli caught the eye of English football fans during Euro 2020. He was comfortable on the ball, energetic proved capable of arriving late into the box to score goals.

He is at a good age to still improve. With that in mind, Mikel Arteta would relish his presence in the middle of the park.
Locatelli will have other admirers, most notably Juventus. If the Gunners are serious about progressing next season, however, the Italian is the signing they need to pull out the stops for.
