Arsenal transfer: Gunners reportedly lead Tottenham in race to sign 21-year-old
Arsenal are now in pole position to sign Fiorentine striker Dusan Vlahovic, This news will shock Tottenham who had felt they would be the frontrunners for the player.
It would appear that Mikel Arteta is now keen to snare the player from the clutches of Spurs, however. He is valued in the region of £51 million by the Serie A club.
It’s unlikely that Fiorentina will do business at a price less than the reported sum. Both Arsenal and Tottenham should have a bit of money to spend this summer though and it’s unlikely to deter them.

Vlahovic was a goalscoring machine during 2020/21. He scored 21 goals and claimed two assists for Fiorentina as the 21-year-old came of age.
He has been in Serie A for three years since arriving from Partizan Belgrade. Vlahovic has taken some time to get up to speed but proved lethal last season.
Arsenal are desperate to add a new striker to their ranks. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is typically deployed out wide, whilst Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah could both depart.
Tammy Abraham looks set to head to Roma and that could leave the Gunners in a state of emergency for a new striker.
Beating Tottenham to Vlahovic would be amazing for Arsenal
With the Gunners not in Europe, signing the Serbian international certainly won’t come easily. Tottenham do have the Europa Conference League to look forward to, but that might not fuss Vlahovic.

For so long it has seemed as though the player will head to Tottenham. For Arsenal to now steal a march would make for a really big coup for the Gunners.
Vlahovic earns a modest and given the whole package, Arsenal should be moving heaven and earth to land the player.
