Arsenal told they will learn something about Cristhian Mosquera ‘very quickly’ after he joins

Cristhian Mosquera is set to be the next player to join Arsenal.

The Gunners have completed the signings of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Noni Madueke already, but there’s still more to come.

All eyes are on Viktor Gyokeres, who will be arriving at Arsenal in the coming days, and many feel he could be the difference-maker next season.

But, fans of the Emirates Stadium club should not sleep on Mosquera.

What people in the game are saying about Arsenal-bound Cristhian Mosquera

Arsenal identified Valencia star Cristhian Mosquera as a target back in October last year, TBR Football exclusively revealed.

The Gunners already have the best defence in the Premier League, but they could do with a backup for both William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Arsenal have agreed a deal with Valencia to sign Mosquera, and reports have claimed that he is already in Singapore to join his new teammates.

Not many fans have seen much of Mosquera during his time in Spain, so Ben Jacobs has given an insight into the defender after speaking to his well-informed sources in the game.

The journalist said on the Latte Firm: “Christian Mosquera is rated incredibly highly. There are a lot of people I speak to in the game who say he could be ready now to actually challenge for a starting spot.

“So Arsenal will bill it as backup for now because he’s young and they’ll want to take the pressure off him.

“But my feeling is that you’re going to learn very quickly this is a heck of a player with every single attribute in a modern defender that you could possibly want.

“And the good news for Arsenal fans is you won’t have to wait too much longer to see him hold up an Arsenal shirt, because my understanding is that’s going to be announced imminently.”

Cristhian Mosquera may have a very important role at Arsenal

Mosquera is a signing Arsenal fans should be very excited about.

The Spaniard possesses all the qualities that you would want from a defender, and the fact that he is still only 21 means he will become even better in the coming years.

It is interesting to hear that people in the game believe Mosquera could challenge for a starting spot at Arsenal straight away, considering that the Gunners have the best defensive partnership in the world in William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Perhaps Arsenal are preparing for Saliba’s departure in a year or two’s time, as everyone knows that he is destined to play for Real Madrid one day.

If that is the case, Mosquera’s role at Arsenal now will be to learn from Saliba, develop into a much better centre-back and then take his place if he does leave.
