A number of factors are making life difficult for the Gunners when it comes to signing Raphinha. One of the issues is Nicolas Pepe remains on the books at Arsenal. It’s suggested that without the Ivorian leaving, then Arsenal might not have room to accommodate the Leeds ace.

Further, Leeds’ big asking price is causing the Gunners some concern. It’s believed Mikel Arteta is hoping to part-fund the transfer by selling off the aforementioned Pepe.

TBR’s View: Arsenal Should Be Going All Out For Raphinha

It sounds like they are giving it a good go, in fairness to them. But of all the attacking players Arsenal have been linked with, you’d have to say Raphinha makes the most sense.

He is already proven at this level for a start, and there’d be little needed in terms of bedding into the league.

Further, Raphinha seems to be getting better and better. Since being part of the Brazil set up, he seems to have added more to his game and with a World Cup around the corner, he’ll be desperate to prove himself in the run up to December.

Ultimately, this is a no-brainer signing for Arsenal.
