Arsenal reportedly want goal machine who reminds his manager of Robert Lewandowski

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker, Andre Silva, during the summer transfer window.

that Silva is high on the list of potential signings for Mikel Arteta. However, it is also claimed that Alex Lacazette would need to make way, should the Gunners pursue Silva.

As reported by TBR yesterday, it’s claimed Silva could cost around £34m. In order for Arsenal to produce that money, someone has to go. And that someone is Lacazette.

Silva, though, could prove quite the signing. He had a stunning campaign last season, hitting 31 goals across all competitions. He’s also in the Portugal squad this summer, although he has yet to find the next in the Euros.

But if Arsenal fans had any worries about signing Silva, they shouldn’t fear anything bad at all. In fact, his manager at Frankfurt has even compared the forward to Polish superstar, Robert Lewandowski.

“André Silva is the solo forward up top, but he does it really well,” his manager

“He wasn’t rewarded against Leverkusen, today he was. His composure on penalties reminds me of Robert Lewandowski, who always turns ice cold.”

Quite the comparison indeed from his boss. Lewandowski is the current World Player of the Year. If Silva can replicate half of what the Pole has done, then Arsenal fans should be very excited.

Arsenal signing Andre Silva would be a bold statement

Talk about making your mark in the market. The Gunners are being linked with so many players, it’s hard to keep up at the moment.

But, this is one who could be realistic and make a difference. Goals win games and Arsenal need someone to be hitting the 25 goal mark.

Sure, Aubameyang has done it before. But he looked a shadow of his former self last season and for one, he also plays on the left most weeks.

Silva, then, would be perfect down the middle. A lethal finisher and with time on his side to improve. He just ticks so many boxes.
