Arsenal suffer big Kai Havertz injury blow as severity of problem confirmed
Arsenal have been rocked by another big injury update.
Indeed, Arsenal have had absolutely no luck in terms of injuries as of late.
Gabriel Jesus is out for the season after an ACL injury, Bukayo Saka is currently sidelined after having surgery on his hamstring, while Gabriel Martinelli picked up an injury recently too.
Arsenal are threadbare in terms of their attacking options right now, and things have just got a lot worse for the Gunners as well.
Kai Havertz picked up an injury during Arsenal’s trip to Dubai this week, and, by the sounds of things, this injury is rather serious.

Kai Havertz out for the season
According to , Kai Havertz is now set to miss the rest of the season after tearing his hamstring.
Arsenal were already light in the attack, but now, their options are extremely limited after the £65m man’s injury.
The Gunners put all their eggs in the Havertz basket after not signing a new number nine in the January transfer window.
Arsenal did bid for Ollie Watkins in January, while Arsenal also made an approach for Evan Ferguson in the winter transfer window.
However, none of those deals came to fruition, and now, Arsenal are in a torrid situation.
Arsenal’s remaining attacking options
To say that Arsenal are lacking attacking options would be an understatement.
Indeed, the Gunners are down to the bare bones in terms of their attack, with no senior recognised strikers available.
Ethan Nwaneri can play up front according to Mikel Arteta, but giving a 17-year-old that role in the middle of a title race is a tough ask.
Meanwhile, Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling have played up front before, but their records in that role aren’t amazing.
Games | Goals | Assists | |
---|---|---|---|
Raheem Sterling record as a striker | 62 | 25 | 10 |
Leandro Trossard record as a striker | 39 | 8 | 10 |
Sterling has a decent record as a striker, but after failing to score a single league goal for Arsenal so far, it’s hard to have much faith in the England international to replace Havertz at this point.
As for Trossard, his record as a striker certainly isn’t good enough to lead a team to a Premier League title.
Where Arsenal go from here remains to be seen, but Mikel Arteta may need to have a trick up his sleeve if Arsenal are to win the title from here.
