Arsenal submit new bid for Daniel Bentley
According to (page 57), Arsenal have made a second bid for Wolves goalkeeper Daniel Bentley, who has been labelled ‘incredible’ per .
The North Londoners saw their initial £50,000 bid knocked back for Bentley but they’ve now returned with a second offer thought to be in the region of £300,000.
That’s still short of Wolves’ £1m asking price, however, the report claims the two clubs are close to agreeing on a compromise.
Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his goalkeeping ranks with Aaron Ramsdale potentially on his way out.
Tommy Setford set to sign
As well as the potential signing of Bentley, Arsenal are also set to secure the signature of Ajax shot-stopper Tommy Setford.
The 18-year-old is an England youth international and is highly thought of by the Dutch giants.
Setford, who has a year left on his contract, is due to complete a £843,000 deal in the coming days – which is shrewd business by Arsenal.
The promising teenager certainly has the scope to become David Raya’s successor in the future.
